Sculptra Buttock Treatment Before & After Photos

How Long Does a Sculptra Buttock Treatment Last?

The Sculptra Buttox Enhancement can last up to 25 months with touch ups.

How Long Does It Take to Recover from a Sculptra Treatment?

Most patients are ready to return to work the next day after receiving Sculptra injections. However, depending on the volume of injectables utilized during your procedure, you may need to rest for 1-2 days.

What Is Sculptra Treatment?

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that is injected into the skin and restores collagen subtly and gradually over time to the skin’s inner structure as the PLLA microparticles are absorbed. This process increases volume and restores the signs of aging.

Are You a Candidate for a Sculptra Treatment?

Sculptra is used to treat those who want younger-looking skin. The Sculptra treatment is suited for people with healthy immune systems as a single regimen to correct shallow to deep nasolabial fold wrinkles and other deeply formed facial creases. Ideal candidates include those who:

  • Experience collagen loss
  • Want to enhance the buttocks’ size and shape naturally
  • Have aging skin
  • Experience volume loss

  • Minimally invasive procedure

What Are the Risks for Sculptra Treatment

The most common side effects of any injectable treatment include initial swelling, redness, tenderness, itching, and lumps close to the injection site. Any additional concerns will be addressed at your initial consultation.

Sculptra is not for those allergic to any ingredient of the product or have a history of keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring. This treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant, lactating, or breastfeeding.

How to Prepare for a Sculptra Treatment

While there is not much preparation needed before your appointment, we recommend keeping the injection area clean and avoiding blood-thinning medications. If you have any questions about your current medications, please speak with Dr. Pavlou prior to your procedure. We also suggest taking time off of work post-appointment.

What to Expect Post Sculptra Treatment

You will have a slight bruise or swelling after your treatment, but it should dissipate within 1-2 days. You will begin seeing the results within 4 to 6 months following your procedure.

Sculptra Treatment Recovery & Timeline

Most people are ready to go back to work the following day and have minimal discomfort or other side effects from treatment; however, depending on how much injectables were administered, some patients may need 1-2 days of rest before they’re fully recovered.

While we will go through your personalized recovery timeline post-procedure, it is best to abstain from alcohol for 24 hours, massage the area at least five times throughout the day for a week, and apply a cold compress.

For best results, we recommend typically three injections over the course of 3-4 months.

How does Dr. Christopher Pavlou perform a Sculptra Treatment?

The buttocks enhancement is performed using Sculptra, an injectable poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your skin’s own natural collagen production, restoring volume to the designated treatment area — in this case the buttocks.

Sculptra Treatment FAQs

How Is Sculptra Different From Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances composed of hyaluronic acid that diminish lines by pushing up the dermis space beneath wrinkles and crevices. Results are immediate and can last months to years depending on the product used.

Collagen stimulators like Sculptra, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), are used to restore volume to the deep underlying structure of the skin, deep within the dermis rather than topically, to diminish wrinkles, lines, and creases. Results appear gradually over the treatment regimen (typically three injections (over the course of 3-4 months) and can last up to 2 years.

What Is A Session Like? How Many Sessions Does It Take To Get Results?

On average, three injectable appointments are required over a two to three-month period.

The number of appointments and injections per appointment vary depending on your unique skin care needs, specifically how much collagen has been lost over time.
