About Dr. Wiaan Bedeker

Dr. Wiaan Bedeker, a Vancouver family physician with a passion for dermatology and aesthetics, began his medical journey in Cape Town, South Africa. Here, he completed his medical training and residency in family medicine, laying a solid foundation for his medical career. 

His exceptional dedication and skill in family medicine were acknowledged early in his career. He was honored with the prestigious Tim Quan Medal in 2015 by the College of Family Physicians of South Africa, a recognition given for his outstanding performance in the Fellowship examination in Family Medicine.

In 2017, Dr. Bedeker brought his talents to Canada, starting a new chapter in his professional life. Once in Canada, his commitment to expanding his knowledge led him to pursue and earn a postgraduate diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Cardiff. This achievement furthered his understanding of various skin conditions and deepened his proficiency in dermatological care. Adding to his impressive credentials, Dr. Bedeker is also a Canadian board-certified aesthetic physician.
