Morpheus 8

How Long Does Morpheus8 Last?

The collagen-producing effects and rejuvenating benefits from your Morpheus8 treatment last approximately one to three years. However, if you attend regular maintenance appointments, your results can last for a long time, and you will enjoy youthful skin and improved texture for many years.

How Long Does It Take to Recover from Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a non-invasive approach that requires little to no downtime following your treatment. However, it is normal to experience some redness, slight swelling, and possible micro-lesions where the treatment was performed for a few days to a week after treatment. You will be fully healed within a week following your treatment and should avoid harsh face washes and makeup.

What Is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive technology that combines microneedling at many customizable depths and radiofrequency to perforate the skin. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin – the building blocks of tight, smooth skin. In doing so, wrinkles, sagging skin, and facial lines are reduced, creating a more youthful appearance. Plus, the Morpheus8 device is the only FDA-approved device that can provide sub-adipose remodeling!

Morpheus8’s ability to be completely customized to the patient’s skin concerns allows us to successfully treat a wide range of skin concerns.

Are You a Candidate for Morpheus8?

A good Morpheus8 treatment candidate are those who want to repair skin laxity, deep facial lines, small fat deposits on the face or body, reverse the appearance of stretch marks, and so much more! In other words, those who wish to reverse the signs of aging and other cosmetic concerns represent ideal candidates for a Morpheus8 treatment. The Morpheus8 can also be used on all Fitzpatrick skin types. However, as always, the best candidates are in good physical health and have realistic expectations regarding the outcome of their treatment.

Some common skin issues that Morpheus8 can help treat include:

  • Scarring/acne scars
  • Skin texture issues
  • Saggings breasts
  • Crepiness of the skin on the face and body
  • Stretch Marks
  • Sagging jowls and face
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun and skin damage
  • Submental fat (double chin)

Morpheus8 Benefits

Some benefits of Morpheus8 include:

  • Minimal downtime
  • Minimal side effects that only last for a few days after treatment
  • Minimally invasive
  • Improves the look of many common skin issues
  • Customizable to your unique skin concerns

Morpheus8 Risks

As Morpheus8 involves microneedling, side effects predominantly include mild swelling and redness for a few days following the treatment. Additionally, you may notice small scabs in the treated area within the first 72 hours, appearing like flaky, peeling skin. Avoid picking at these scabs at all costs. These scabs will shed as soon as the skin heals.

Other side effects include:

  • Temporary bruising
  • Tenderness
  • Soreness
  • Occasional pain that can be managed with over-the-counter medications

How to Prepare for Your Morpheus8 Treatment

  • 10 days before your treatment: stop taking over-the-counter pain medications like Aspirin or Ibuprofen as they thin the blood, avoid taking topical products with active ingredients like retinol or salicylic acid, and avoid taking vitamin E, ginseng, and fish oil to reduce your risk of bruising/swelling.
  • Three days before your treatment: stop consuming nicotine and alcohol.
  • Day of treatment: shower like you normally would but avoid applying cream or lotion to the treatment area, do not use makeup and keep your hair out of your face.

Morpheus8 Recovery Timeline

There is minimal recovery time involved with Morpheus8 as it is a non-invasive procedure. Expect downtime to take as little as 2 days but as long as 2 weeks, as you need to see all redness, bruising, and swelling to go down, as well as all scabs to flake away, before you are fully healed.

How Does Dr. Sangeetha Nadarajah Perform a Morpheus8 Treatment?

During the treatment, our team harnesses state-of-the-art technology to administer 24-karat gold and silicone-coated needles beneath the skin.

Once in place, these tiny needles deliver a pulse of radiofrequency energy to tighten the soft tissue and coagulate fat cells. In addition, Morpheus8 stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to further tighten the skin. This process ultimately results in a sleeker, smoother look with contoured features – without using a scalpel!

How many Morpheus8 sessions are required/recommended?

Depending on the severity of your skin concerns, you will require 1-3 treatments. However, after these treatments, you can enjoy your results for years. Your practitioner will recommend the optimal number of sessions to be performed based on your personal objectives. Treatment times and frequency will be specifically tailored to obtain optimal results.

What should I avoid after my Morpheus8 treatment?

After your Morpheus8 treatment, you should avoid picking at your skin/scabs, washing your face with harsh soaps until one week after the treatment, and applying makeup. To enjoy your results for as long as possible, you should:

  • Avoid smoking.
  • Avoid sun exposure/apply SPF regularly.
  • Moisturize your skin.
  • Practice skin care.
  • Attend maintenance appointments every few years.

Can I use moisturizer after Morpheus8?
